Davis Hospital Medical Center, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center and Jordan Valley Medical Center, all part of IASIS Healthcare, were told in a letter in October from Health Management Systems that between 2008 and 2009, they had been overpaid $2,718,053, according to a lawsuit filed this week in the 3rd District Court.

It looks like not only do you have medical problems in the medical industry but add the fact that you have to handle the billing of such services. I'm sure this adds to the overall healthcare cost. How much in healthcare cost is there because of billing and record keeping?

    The States don't put enough effort into auditing the bills...the belief that is is cheaper to pay them has created a culture of "bill em and they will pay". The Hospitals will call it accounting errors I call it fraud...
