The challenge with selling hybrids is that gasoline engines have become more efficient, and the cost of hybrids hasn't come down fast enough to justify the added expense, said David Champion of Consumer Reports.

This is showing a very small hybrid auto market. Looks like gas poweredautos will be around longer than we think.

grump. I'm with you interesting that they are moving away from electric. Wonder if gas prices coming back down some day as well?

I really think the hybrid and electric car idea is just too gimick-y. A replacement set of batteries for a Prius cost between 4 and 5 grand. You can pick up a used Prius for a song because you know, if you keep it very long, you will have to replace the batteries. What bull poop.

grump. I agree as is everything with electric, the batteries are the weakest link. Whether it be solar for autos or homes.
